1/22/2024 0 Comments Great escape lodge wisconsin![]() ![]() ![]() Stayed at Great Wolf for three days Sunday Monday Tuesday ,my impression of great wolf is it is a little dirty carpeting is definitely in need of cleaning elevators are very small and very slow ,waterpark adequate when it comes to kids however lazy river Has to be one of the smallest I’ve seen ,never enough floats for the lazy river. Lot of the games are very giving with tickets, we were able to rack up 800 tickets. :-) The $5.00 arcade pass, I had to add more to the card $20.00. Magi-Quest was SO MUCH FUN for the whole family! A must do, cause you might get sick of the water park area for a while. Paw Pass: Totally worth it, the bulk candy is basically a cup of Jelly Belly's you get to choose the flavors to fill up. Slides are decent the mat slide was my favorite! We stayed 3 days/ 2 nights which is more than enough time. The wave pool is bigger at Wilderness Water park. They were well trained, and always watching the pools. I was VERY impressed with the Life Guard Staff. If you are in decent shape this is not a big deal. Room was very clean! The walk from Magi-Quest to the pool was not that far. I love that fact that your wrist band is your room key and your key to make purchases at the resort. All my stuff was ready, I was still able to add a Paw Pass for my kid. Then I was able to go through the mobile line at the front desk (very quick). The online check in with the mobile app was amazing, I was able to "check-in" the night before and my room was ready very early 11:30 am. This is my 2nd indoor water park that I have visited in Wisconsin. You can share a game, but if you want to buy one for each person, go ahead and get the Paw Pass for only $10 more. If you do this, buy the game right away as you can play it on and off throughout your stay when you need breaks from the water park. Side note, I highly recommend doing MagiQuest, which is also open to the public. If you can plan your day so you hit the water park mornings and evenings rather than afternoon, it's less crowded and more enjoyable. Bring your own food/snacks or make a plan for when/where to dine to avoid disagreements and overpriced food. Also, bring your own towels to avoid the towel checkout and to be able to take them to your room. Not only does it lower the price but you won't end up a block-long walk from the water park. As mentioned, book further in advance if you can. During peak waterpark time we could never get a chair to set our things as people hog them, taking one for every family member even though they are never all there at the same time. To get water park towels, you have to check them in and out with a room key so kids can't go get them alone and they are available in only one location. There were never enough tubes for the rides, adding to the wait time. The changing room in the water park was tiny. The food options were either mediocre or very expensive. The outrageous price increased my expectations and they were not met. If you book far enough in advance, it appears you can get rooms for under $200 even in busy seasons. Bad: This was a last-minute trip so we got one of the last available rooms and paid $370 for it. I couldn't send my teen to the room alone, for example. Adult wristbands double as room keys and payment method, which is pretty clever and handy but also a little limiting for those with older kids. The water park had good options for our age range (9-14). We enjoyed our time but we plan to try a different indoor water park next time. My kids loved Great Wolf Lodge when they went five years ago and begged to go again for one day of spring break. ![]()
